The Södermalm district administration is looking for a committee secretary who wants to contribute to structure, quality, and legal certainty in the committee's work.

The staff and secretariat consist of 17 employees who coordinate and guide the administration's activities within our areas of expertise. Your role
As a committee secretary, you are responsible for the administration surrounding the district committee and social delegation. You have continuous contact with committee members and are a support to caseworkers and managers in their work to produce decision-making materials on a variety of issues. You are also available for questions from the public and media and guide them appropriately. Evening work is included about two evenings a month in connection with information committee meetings (digital) and committee meetings (physical). You report to the head of the staff and secretariat.
Your main tasks include:
- managing meeting routines, administering everything related to committee meetings, and serving as an important control function in the process
- supporting caseworkers and managers with decision-making materials and answering questions about the case process and systems
- coordinating the development of committee processes and revising delegation orders as well as being responsible for competence development
- investigating and, to some extent, writing decision-making materials for cross-committee issues
- participating in networks for committee secretaries and engaging in improvement work and supportive activities.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who has experience working as a committee secretary or in a similar role within municipal operations, with a good understanding of formal language, work processes, case preparation, and decision flows, is educated in, for example, public administration, political science, law, or has other education/experience that we assess as equivalent, has good knowledge of the laws and regulations governing municipal decision-making, such as the Local Government Act, the Administrative Procedure Act (including service obligations), the regulations on public access and confidentiality, and GDPR, works fluently in various programs of the Office suite and digital case management systems, and has good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have experience working with corresponding areas of activity similar to a district committee, experience with the document management system Platina, the financial system Agresso and/or eVald (attestation of fees), and experience working in registration.

The position is a temporary contract until August 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension.
